This photograph captures a very quiet and serene Matlock Bath in the days before cars dominated the roads.

Just a couple of buses can be seen making their way along the winding road beneath the dominating High Tor in the image, which was used as part of a collection of post cards, showing various scenes from the tourist attraction in the early parts of the 20th century.
