It’s back to school for youngsters across the region this week as the six weeks summer holiday came to a close.

So to celebrate the start of the new term, we have raided our archives for some choice snaps looking at school life. Speaking of new starts, these Denby Free School shown above are busy helping to plant what appears to be new trees and holly bushes, but it is not clear where. Maybe if you were one of the green fingered children here, you could shed more light on the event?
