Carnival presentation

Langley Mill’s carnival queen is pictured accepting a cheque at a presentation event.

The village’s carnival committee organised the presentation and it looks like the Cubs were the ones handing over the money. Also on the picture is the area’s gala queen and Langley Mill Carnival Committee members in the background. We think the picture, which is one from our own archives, was taken in the early 1990s.

Unfortunately, we do not know where it was taken, maybe the eagle-eyed among you will recognise the the venue – perhaps a hall or room at a Langley Mill pub?
