Staff and residents of a Codnor care home tried their hand at line dancing at its Country and Western-themed Dignity Extravaganza on Thursday, February 28.
The Firs Nursing Home on Glasshouse Hill opened to the public for the event, which featured live music, stalls, tombolas and a hog roast. T he evening was part of the national Dignity Awareness month, which aims to promote good care standards in nursing homes. All money raised went to the Firs residents fund, which will pay for trips out and even Easter gifts for the residents.
