Gritting in towns only

Amber Valley Borough Council has temporarily suspended the refilling of its grit bins throughout Amber Valley today (Friday)

The council says refilling will continue once further supplies have been delivered. They are expected by the middle of next week.

The Council will continue to grit town centre footways, car parks and cemeteries as needed whilst supplies last.

Members of the public are encouraged to report empty grit bins by calling 08 456 058 058

The public are also advised that grit is for highways and pavements only and not for individuals’ driveways.
