Enquiry office closes in Alfreton

Alfreton police enquiry offfice closed on Monday to cope with pressures in the policing budget.

Derbyshire Constabulary is predicted to have a £13million shortfall by the end of the 2012/13 financial year and £24million by 2014/15.

Police officers will still be present at the station, but residents wishing to contact the force while are advised to call 101 or 999 in an emergency.
