This Heage-based child minding group raised £250 for Macmillan after a successful coffee morning on Saturday.

Alphabet Childminders, who meet at the Heage Methodist Church on Parkside every Thursday morning, put on a plethora bric-a-brac and tombola stalls on the day alongside several children’s games.

One of the organisers Zoe Bennett, 39, of Church street, Denby Village, said: “It went absolutely fantastic - better than we thought really. It was a very busy morning!”
