Sasha the dog likes nothing better than a spot of love and affection as you can see from this picture.

She is desperate for a new owner after ending up at the RSPCA animal shelter in Derby.

Staff there say she is a beautiful cross-breed who is extremely clever. She is currently being trained to respond to ‘clicker’ commands and is rapidly picking it up.

A spokeswoman said: “Sasha would make anybody a great pet. She loves attention and is a fast learner. She would not like to share her home with a dog. She absolutely loves chasing the hose pipe on a hot day and will keep you entertained all day with her enthusiasm and love of affection.
