Auction for good causes

The Mayor of Matlock is hosting a charity auction this evening in a local landmark.

Cllr Barry Hopkinson will hold the event at Masson Mills, in Matlock Bath, in aid of local charity Ashgate Hospice, as well as Talking 2 Minds, a charity which offers support to service men and women who specifically suffer from post traumatic stress disorder.

Among the lots up to be bid upon are a ride in a hot air balloon, a session in a recording studio and a ball signed by members of Chesterfield Football Club.

The evening will be hosted by Cash in the Attic star James Lewis and starts at 7pm.

Tickets are available on the door and cost £4 each, including a buffet.

People attending the auction will also be entitled to 20 per cent off selected items in Masson Mills.
