Old Tupton Mr M. Taylor : Obituary

Mr M. Taylor Old Tupton Mr Michael John Taylor, of Old Tupton, has died at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, aged 70. Born at Chesterfield and a local resident all his life, he was an apprentice at Parkhouse colliery then went to Williamthorpe and later was an electrical engineer at Renishaw Park and deputy electrical engineer at Ireland collieries. Mr Taylor enjoyed golf and motorcycle racing and had a Douglas bike. He was a quiet, gentle family man and enjoyed holidays. He leaves his son John William. Cremation at Chesterfield takes place on Tuesday, May 29, at 12.30pm. Funeral directors: Midlands Co-op, 13 High Street, Clay Cross, (tel. 01246 862142).
