It must be said that not every Alfa in recent years has polished the QV heritage, but the company’s latest product, the Giulia QV, has all the signs of genuine greatness. Powered by three-quarters of a Ferrari California engine, it’s not just searingly quick, it handles brilliantly too.
It’ll need all of that and more to top the two beasts it’s up against here. A four-door mega-saloons go, they don’t come much quicker or more impressive than the BMW M3 Competition Pack and the Mercedes-AMG C63 S.
